Peony Star Chinese Restaurant

We were greeted with very friendly staff who took our coats and showed us to our table. They settled us down and remembered it was my guests birthday. We ordered Jasmine tea and ate prawn truffle toast, salt and pepper squid, stir fried chicken, miso seabass, tofu and veg, lam belly stew and had that with char kway throw noodles and jasmine rice. Every dish was created carefully and had the perfect balance of flavours. But that was not all, the manager had organised an amazing chocolate steam cake for the birthday guest. Which was such an amazing surprise and made my guest feel so loved. The staff and the manager had wonderful chats with us and it really felt like you wee being welcomed into a family home. They took care of us so well. Not only that we had so much food that we got to take it home as takeaway too. The whole experience was so special and one to remember. Total came to 125 for all dishes and drinks for 5 people (plus takeaway for one more person)

Chinese food is our favourite choice when eating out, and I think we found one of the best, down to earth and best serving chinese restuatants in London. We chose the set menu and usually set menus can be bland, but on this occasion every course was packed with flavour. The service was impeccable with the waiting staff refilling our teas throughout the evening. There were a lot of authentic dishes to choose from, which means we will be back to try more! Inside felt modern yet very familial, making it a perfect choice for a date or family dinner. Well done all the team here

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Peony, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the staff, who were not only friendly but also incredibly attentive throughout the evening. The ambiance was inviting, with a perfect balance of elegance and comfort. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour, The ingredients were clearly of the highest quality, and you could taste the passion and craftsmanship in every bite. Pure authentic food!!!! Beyond the food, the service was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu, quick to offer recommendations, and ensured we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It’s rare to find a restaurant that excels in both service and cuisine.

Very happy to have Peony Star as our new local restaurant with Cantonese cuisine. Every dish is delicious, fresh, beautifully presented and served piping hot. My absolute favorite is The Dover Sole, but all other dishes which I ate here are amazing. We eat here at least twice a week All staff of this restaurant is very friendly and welcoming. Just one word - wow! As someone who grew up with Cantonese cuisine, I can confidently say this hidden gem sets a new standard for Chinese food in London. Really refreshing fusion twist on classic Cantonese dishes without losing authenticity. The dishes are visually vibrant, yet the flavours remain clean and refined - a testament to the chef’s skill and craftsmanship. We’ve been here 3 times now and we’ve tried a few different dishes every time - all consistently excellent. My husband is gluten free/celiac and eating Chinese food at a restaurant is always a challenge. The staff has been so accommodating and understanding, ensuring that all our dishes are cooked GF. Communication on this front has been exceptional. Now my husband is finally able to try and enjoy dim sum, roasted duck, honey bbq spare ribs, and crispy shredded beef (he is one of the luckiest gf people in the world ). They even have a handy allergen chart. Very thoughtful and professional. Echoing many of the other reviews here, the service is truly exceptional and they really go the extra mile to ensure you have the best experience possible. Cathy is a star and we really enjoy her company when we are here. Everything is super clean and tidy and your glass is always full This is now one of our favourite restaurants in London and we can’t wait to go back!

My first visit today but won’t be my last! The meal started well with an exquisite mocktail and even the way the tap water was served was beautiful and made us feel very special. The dim sum was delicious and possibly the tastiest I’ve ever eaten. And the mains were just as good. All with exceptional service. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing Food & Great Service! I had an incredible dining experience at this Chinese restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every dish was well-seasoned and authentic, especially the premium beef and Cumin lamb. The service was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed from start to finish. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve been to, and I’ll be coming back for more. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing family lunch here. The food was very tasty and fresh. So happy that we already have some nice restaurant in Acton and definitely will be our local restaurant for lunch and dinner. Thanks you for the warm welcome and for the great customer service! Strongly recommend to everyone!
